Headline News Fair Brutus to continue his dominance over Fanyana

JACK MILNER
TO say Fanyana’s last run was disappointing would be an understatement. In fairness jockey Piere Strydom did point out that Bradley Maroun’s runner had a bit to find on Fair Brutus, based on their run behind Escobar. Nonetheless with some 70% of Place Accumulator tickets riding on Fanyana, it was incomprehensible that he would traipse in three lengths behind winner Strike Paradise in sixth place.

JACK MILNER
THIS has been a tough season for Geoff Woodruff. Champion trainer last season, Woodruff is languishing in an unfamiliar eighth spot on the trainers’ log for the 2007-08 season. It is almost unthinkable that the Vodacom Durban July will go ahead on Saturday without a Woodruff contender but that is exactly what is going happen.
