THREE-TIME QUEEN'S PLATE WINNER LEGAL EAGLE
Nicci Garner: There was barely a dry eye on the racecourse when Sean Tarry-trained Legal Eagle scored one of the gutsiest wins of his career in the R1.5-million L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate (Grade 1) over 1600m at Kenilworth on Saturday.
Jack Milner: In spite of all the commotion going on around him, trainer Sean Tarry confirms Legal Eagle has had an uninterrupted build-up to Saturday’s defence of his L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate title.
Cape Town – Trainer Mike Robinson has as many horses in his yard as Justin Snaith has runners at Kenilworth on Saturday – 30 – but he is confident Goodtime Gal is going to at least make the frame in the Cartier Paddock Stakes. He also reckons she is better value than her 14-1 price would suggest.
