TRAINER Alan Greeff will have his hands full on Friday when he will saddle 21 runners at Fairview. The good news for punters is that he holds the key to the Pick 6.

Greeff saddles three competitive runners in Race 6, a MR 101 Handicap over 1400m. Lesser fancied Rumba Rhythm gets the nod from a good draw and with a promising apprentice in the saddle. This son on Model Man won five races in a row between November 2007 and March 2008. His subsequent form against some useful sorts, including Ecole Militaire, has not been bad and also in his favour is his record over the course and distance of three wins from five starts. He looks the value-for-money bet.

Pick 6 pundits should have a comfortable ride in this leg because Greeff saddles the two likely favourites as well – Fox Loot and Ziplock, who are are both useful on their day – and the trainer should dominate proceedings in filling three of the four places on the podium.

Greeff also holds a strong hand in Race 4, a FM 84 Handicap over 1600m, in which he saddles four of the 10 runners. Lanquid Lady, Qui Vintage and Katawa all have winning chances and their biggest threats could be Watergate and Elegant Aspen.

The coupling of Copper Trader and Pongracz is another useful one in Race 7, the Speedsters Stakes over 1000m. Greeff’s runners only have Hear The Drums to beat on collateral form and at the weights.

Greeff is represented by four runners in Race 8, a FM84 Handicap over 1000m, and one of them could round off a good day for the stable. Windin The Willows, Rock You Baby and Druid’s Causeway all have useful chances but will have their work cut out against much-improved Beacon Of Hope, who tends to win his races early on with lightning gate speed.
