Paris – As a result of her dominant performance in the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Group 1), Enable (GB)  is the third highest-rated horse in the eighth edition of the LONGINES World’s Best Racehorse Rankings for 2017.
By taking the Arc, Enable improved her rating to 128 from 126. The three-year-old filly defeated Cloth Of Stars (Ire)  by 2.50 lengths, while Ulysses (Ire)  checked in third, Order Of St George (Ire)  was fourth and Brametot (Ire)  was fifth.
Enable has won her last six races – including the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Group 1), Investec Oaks (Group 1), Darley Irish Oaks (Group 1), and Darley Yorkshire Oaks (Group 1) – by a combined 24.25 lengths.
Winx was already second on the list before her phenomenal win last weekend in the Group 1 Turnbull at Flemington. Her raating remained unchanged at 132.
Meanwhile, there are several newcomers to the latest rankings. Leading the charge is World Approval (USA) , who followed up his victory in the Fourstardave Handicap (Group 1) with a win in the Ricoh Woodbine Mile Stakes (Group 1).
Humidor (NZ)  is ranked after defeating Hartnell (GB)  in the PFD Food Services Makybe Diva Stakes (Group 1).
Furthermores, Beach Patrol (USA)  has won two major races in a row, the Arlington Million XXXV Stakes (Group 1)and the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Stakes (Group 1), while Capri (Ire)  has taken the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby (Group 1) and the William Hill St Leger Stakes (Group 1) and they now find themselves ranked.
Additionally, West Coast (USA)  improved his rating to 122 from 121 by following up his win in the Travers Stakes presented by NYRA Bets (Group 1) with a victory in the Pennsylvania Derby (Group 1).
Legal Eagle and Marinaresco, both in 34th place, are the leading South African horses on the list.
