Kranji back in business

Larry Foley: Singapore – After all the glitz and glamour of the 2017 Singapore Racing Awards and the New Year festivities, it’s back to business with the racing returning to Kranji on Friday and on Sunday.

And it’s a solid card to kick off Friday racing in 2018 with some serious horses in BE BEE and the exciting NOWYOUSEE headlining the entries on Friday.

The pair were both entered for the Class 3 Polytrack sprint over 1200m and a clash was likely but, thankfully, the race has two divisions so both can win.

BE BEE is first to head to the starter in Race 6 on the card and the newly-crowned Champion two-year-old (now a three-year-old) will have his work cut out with last-start winner, GOLDEN SWORD, a big danger, as is AUGUSTANO and LIM’S RACER.

NOWYOUSEE also has some stiff opposition to face in DRACO who looks due and ELITE POWER who just missed at his Singapore debut behind BE BEE.

But this unbeaten three-year-old comes off a superb trial and the step up to 1200m should see him show his best and very hard to beat.
