Crawford eyes Pinnacle

Viv Greybe: Brett Crawford-trained raider Sunset Eyes had Anthony Delpech up in recent outings when he was too good for the opposition, and the gelding should complete the four-timer on Sunday at Greyville where he teams up with Delpech to contest Race 4, a Pinnacle Stakes over 1200m.

This race is Leg 2 of the Pick 6 which has a Carryover of R300,000 with an estimated pool of R2-million.
This speedy four-year-old had followed up a decisive win over 1400m at the Polytrack with a fine double over 1200m at Scottsville

His main danger is stablemate Black Cat Back (Corne Orffer). This five-time winner started his KZN campaign with a bright second in the 1400m Fever Tree Stakes at Scottsville. Next best are On That Boulevard, Vision To Kill and Wynkelder.

Dennis Drier-trained Premier Dance (Sean Veale) is the one to beat in Race 7, a Pinnacle Stakes (F&M) over 1400m. The four-year-old’s last two runs saw her finish close up in Graded events at Kenilworth, and will relish taking on lesser company. Ngaga, Statute and Dawn Calling could follow her home.
