Viv Greybe: Stick with top-flight jockey Anton Marcus who has secured a promising book of rides at the Greyville Polytrack on Wednesday and looks poised to strike in Race 3 when teamed up with Duncan Howells-trained Roy’s Vogue in a MR 76 Handicap (F&M) over 2000m.
This Australian-bred three-year-old was a smart maiden winner three runs back at the Polytrack over 1900m. Her next run when unplaced can be overlooked as she was not striding out freely and returned coughing.
The filly confirmed she is fit and well in her subsequent outing when having her first run after break and finishing second over the course and distance despite being bumped 200m out.
She is unlikely to miss this time and could be followed home by Roy’s Pony, Orelia, Shirley Valentine and Into The Groove.
Marcus’ mount Victory Trip, out of Dennis Bosch’s stable will be tough to beat in Race 5 when stepping out in a MR 76 Handicap (F&M) over 1200m. The combination justified favouritism with an increasing 3.75-length win over the course and distance.
Though heavily penalised for that win she should complete the double this time when starting from pole position. The pick of the rest are Miss Varlicious, Princess Analia, Flamenco Dancer and Rani.
Marcus will be aboard another favourite in Race 6, when he teams up with Howells-trained La Suerte De Matar in a MR 68 Handicap (F&M) over 1200m. The mare went off favourite last time and looked to have dashed her hopes of success when slow out, but she ran on gamely to snatch a half-length win over 1400m. She should complete the double with the advantage of a good inside draw again.
Making most appeal of the others are Stockade, Colour Your Dreams, Arran Isles and Sea Tops.
