Noah sails in at Singapore

Ken Nicol: 2015 Cape Guineas winner Noah From Goa scored a sensational triumph in the eighth race at Kranji today.

Now trained by Ricardo Le Grange and partnered by a jockey with big SA connections in Naresh Juglall, the six-year-old son of deceased Tiger Ridge looks to have a bright future in Singapore after this impressive win in a  race worth S$125,000.

He had finished fifth over an inadequate 1200m on his local debut a month ago, but was a different proposition today.

Given an ultra confident ride by Juglall, he virtually made all the running, and had a comfortable length and a quarter to spare at the line in a time of 1:49.49.

Still racing in the distinctive black silks of Wilgerbosdrift and Mary Slack, the gelding was of course previously trained by Mike De Kock locally and during his Dubai campaign.
