Mike de Kock is likely to have at least three runners in action on Dubai World Cup night.
The world’s richest race meeting will be run at Meydan Racecourse on Saturday 30 March.
Majestic Mambo and Yulong Prince (formerly Surcharge) have been invited to run in the Grade 1 Dubai Turf over 1800m, while Marinaresco will be lining up in the Grade 2 Dubai Gold Cup over 3200m.
However, the stable could have a fourth runner if all goes well in Abu Dhabi.
“We will be running Hermoso Mundo in the Grade 3 Abu Dhabi Championship this Friday. If he runs well, we may be able to get a Gold Cup invite for him as well,” said De Kock.
Bernard Fayd’Herbe will be riding the Ideal World-stayer in Abu Dhabi, he is rated 104, the highest in the race.
Speaking on Thursday from Dubai, jockey Fayd’Herbe seemed relatively confident.
“He took his last race really well, and has improved quite a bit. We expect him to run a big race, as it’s not the strongest of fields, and he’s also got a good draw.”
