Larry Foley, Singapore: A very competitive meeting is offered today from Singapore and while it’s tough to find any standout bets in the eight-race card, some good Eachway options should entice punters.
Julius Caesar is one such runner and he hopefully provides something to look forward to in Race 8. the lucky last.
This five-year-old will find the likes of Sacred Don and Raheeb hard to beat on recent form, however, Julius Caesar is better than Class 4 at his best and if close enough when things get serious, he can finish strongly and win with Michael Rodd riding.
Rodd is also on another swooper with Eachway claims in River Golden in Race 5.
Like Julius Caesar, River Golden is better than Class 4 and if the race is run to suit swoopers, this six-year-old can grow wings late and could test the pacy Elise late.
Elsewhere on the card, given the form behind Federation was franked last Sunday, the likes of runner-up Green Star can win in similar Novice Company in Race 4, while Forever Win, who was a close-up fourth, drops back to Restricted Maiden Company and will be hard to beat in Race 2.
Best Bets: (Forever Win Race 2, Win), (Green Star Race 4, Win) and (Julius Caesar Race 4, value.
Bankers for Jackpots: Race 5 (1, 2, 3 and 6), Race 6 (1, 2, 3 and 9), Race 7 (5, 7, 8, 10 and 12), Race 8 (1, 2 and 3).
