Muzi Yeni has a Star Profile

Trevor Reid: Jockey Muzi Yeni has had a fair crack at winning this season’s South Africa’s Jockey Championship and although he has a tough task to catch Lyle Hewitson, he has some nice rides at Flamingo Park on Monday and could ride a few winners.

The good news is that some of them could go off at a fair price.

Star Profile is one of them.

This Bold Silvano filly has only one win to her name and that was way back in 2017 but is fit and well and could be ready for a big run in Race 6, a FM 74 Handicap over 1600m.

Yeni should be aboard the first race winner as stable companion to Star Profile, Impressive Duchess for trainer Tobie Spies, is the pick of the yard’s runners in the race.

Impressive Duchess has had two good runs so far and although she has done her fair share of travelling and is trying the sand for the first time she looks a bit better than her rivals.

Stable companions Kayden’s Bullet and the consistent Code Black could follow her home.

Yeni could also be aboard the second race winner as County Donegal is proven over this minimum trip and could be the best of a bad bunch.

The Spies-trained Miss Khalifa could run well at a decent price in the last race as this three-year-old filly has dropped to a merit-rating that she should prove to be competitive off.

Miss Khalifa has run in far better fields than she contests in this race and jockey Hennie Greyling could try and pull off a start-to-finish attempt that could be successful if she is in the mood to run.

African Magic appears to be her biggest threat and the Swinger dividend could pay.
