Turffontein trainer comments

Here are the trainer comments for Thursday’s Turffontein meeting.

Race 1

Mike Azzie: No 1 Readysetglo has to overcome a wide draw then he has a good chance.

Grant Maroun: No 5 Emmy Award has a place chance.

Mike de Kock: No 7 Bold Bijou will need the run.

Lucky Houdalakis: No 8 Clifton Cougar is trying further and I am hoping for improvement.

Joe Soma: No 10 Rock Me Twice is working well but the draw is a major concern.

Craig Mayhew: No 12 Spirit Law is a nice filly but might be a bit green; No 14 Winter Sparkler is a nice filly but will need the experience.

Gary Alexander: No 13 Thandekhile is in a tough race but has a good Eachway chance.

Race 2

Tyrone Zackey: No 3 Eightintheeigth will need the run.

Gary Alexander: No 7 Brave Deputy will need this run.

Paul Peter: No 12 Riverstown is a nice colt and if not too green will be a contender.

Cedric Jonker: No 13 Surfer Dude – I am hoping for a fair run.

Race 3

Scott Kenny: No 1 Lone Survivor is fit and well and must be a runner again. It is a competitive race.

Mike Azzie: No 6 Reach For The Line is a thief horse. If he tries he can win.

Robbie Sage: No 8 Steak And Ale is having his first run after a gelding and might need this run.

Race 4

Joe Soma: No 4 Responsible choked up last time out so that run is best ignored. I am expecting a much better run.

Race 5

Grant Maroun: No 1 Prince Jordan has a place chance; No 2 Category Four has a good each-way chance.

Scott Kenny: No 4 To The Regiment will need this run and the distance is too short.

Race 6

Grant Maroun: No 1 Artemisia has an Eachway chance; No 9 Ottawa has a small place chance.

Gary Alexander: No 3 Chouette has a place chance.

Stephen Moffatt: No 5 Killconnel Lass has a wide draw but is working well so I am expecting a good run.

Cedric Jonker: No 7 Ficticious is in a competitive race but I expect her to go close.

Candice Dawson: No 4 Star Of Gibraltar: Hopefully she does well and does not need this run.

Race 7

Joe Soma: No 8 Eightfold’s Lass has a good draw, a nice weight and can be hard to beat this time.

Lucky Houdalakis: No 9 Tehuano is drawn a bit wide but I am hoping for a better run.

Race 8

Lucky Houdalakis: No 5 Serendipity: I am not sure she is suited to this Inside track.

Gary Alexander: No 12 Ration My Passion has a good Eachway chance.

Race 9

Stephen Moffatt: No 2 Hope For Millions has her first run for me. She is working very well and I am expecting a decent run; No 6 One Dollar Massage has been a disappointment and is clearly limited.

Tony Nassif: No 8 Twice As Special is in a competitive race but I am expecting another good run from her.
