KEEPING DRY AT THE RACES
Morning gallops will decide whether Saturday’s Grand Heritage meeting at the Vaal will go ahead or not.
The Vaal Racecourse has had 50.5mm of rain in the last three days. Currently the track is raceable with the penetrometer reading at 26 (good to soft).
However, there are concerns about the forecast of more rain on Friday night and Saturday. As a results gallops have been arranged for Saturday morning to assess the underfoot conditions after which an update will follow.
