Two Pick 6 carryovers on Easter Weekend

PICK 6 punters have two carryover pools to look forward to this Easter weekend. At Turffontein on Satutrday, the pool is expected to grow to R1,8 million before the running of Race 4 at 2pm, after R265,269 was carried over from the Vaal on Thursday. The estimated Pick 6 pool for Clairwood Sunday is R2 millon, boosted by a healthy R425,729 not won at last Wednesday’s Scottsville meeting.

At first glance there are no obvious bankers at any of the two meetings, which means that healthy payouts are likely.

Most Pick 6 players at Turffontein will probably consider taking a chance with Strike Paradise in Race 5, the second leg, while others might decide to load up early and rely on Sugarpiehoneybunch in the last leg, Race 9.

The Clairwood Pick 6 is made up of two maximum fields and several other highly competitive line-ups and one can predict with a fair amount of confidence that Sunday’s Pick 6 will yield at the least a five-figure dividend.
Charles Laird’s filly Afreet, a facile winner of her last start, has the looks of a possible banker in Race 9, but there are a few other promising fillies in the race against her. Whatever happens this weekend, the nature of the fields at both meetings will make the carryover Pick 6s well worth taking a nibble at.
