10:50 Paques Maiden Stakes, 3yo only
Excellent maiden to commence the card with four top chances. MATELLO (5) has run this season beaten a neck at Fontainebleau in March. NERO (1) is three starts for three seconds. Hard to beat. NORWEGIAN STAR held lead at Cagnes before beaten a neck for fourth. Runs up to that performance can go close. JEAN RACINE (2) finished third past two including at Longchamp last time but not seen since October.
11:20 Ucello Du Lac Chase, 5yo plus
Stablemates TORNADO DE KERSER (2) and VOL NOIR DE KERSER (1) hold the key to this race. Both have excellent form and either could win without surprising. Plenty of others could pick up the minor money including DIEGO DES ONGRAIS (7)
11:50 De L’ackerland Handicap, 4yo plus
SANT ANGELO (1) has a good distance record and has also won over the distance. Ready to win again. BETTER ON SUNDAY (6) also has a solid record over the distance but delivered a poor run when first-up. EN DANSANT (7) is running into a place of late
12:20 Pays De Hanau Handicap, 4yo plus
INEVITABLE HERMANN (7) has been favourite past four starts with some solid runs including a victory. Can win on this form. ULTIM’REVE (5) is in good form with a win at Cagnes and last start second 1400m Toulouse. Chance. ACHKI (4) ran on strongly for second at Cagnes before starting favourite at Compiegne but only managing seventh. Can redeem himself. VICTORIOUS CHAMP (3) is a place chance.
12:50 Federation Hurdle, 5yo only
ADMIRAL THRAWN (10) was well in the market on hurdle debut at Lyon when pulled-up. Give him another chance. FAUGERES (5) broke through for a first win at Argentan in November and may progress. CABO REAL (2) impressively won at a country track last start in March. Harder here but has claims and SURVIVER (9) is lightly raced but was promising when third this course and distance last start. FOLSOM PRISON (11) may find this easier.
1:20 Dunaden Maiden Stakes, 3yo only
Many are having their first starts so market is the guide. SAFIYANN (1) raced at Deauville in February when second. Can go close. REVENTADOR (2) showed pace on debut at Longchamp in October. First-up here. Can come on. LE BAYOU (4) has been placed five of seven race starts and overdue a win. Of the debutantes both KASHGAR (6) and HAKELA DU SEUIL (10) are worth considering.
1:50 R. Matzinger Stakes, 4yo only
A FINE ROMANCE (2) showed plenty of talent last season and ran well in better races. Not seen since October. Chance on known ability. MORNING DEW (16) was good enough to race in the Prix Diane (G1) last season. Has shown ability and is interesting first-up. DICTEE (13) was promising when last in work more than year ago. Could go well first-up. MILLTOP (6) is two starts for a win and conditions second. Another not seen this season. The other two to consider are SHANNKIYR (3) and SOLKIA (5).
