This is a race for juvenile newcomers so the betting market will prove highly informative. Those on the shortlist include ALMONA (5) who has a trainer in form and judging by jockey bookings is the main hope of the two runners from that yard. THIS KISS (7) is from an established stable with an in form jockey on board. BRAN (1) hails from a stable with a good win and place record so could be the each way choice. Both LA GIOIOSA (2) and TOMBE LA NEIGE (3) could show enough on debut to gain minor placings.
VENTURA LIGHTNING (10) was outclassed in three G3 races in native GB however did deliver a neck second at York over 1200m. Good barrier draw and in form jockey enhances chances. With drop in class is the one to beat. SUJET LIBRE (7) delivered a narrow second at Chantilly in a 1200m contest. Finished with a flourish so extra trip will suit. Feared the most. LE SOLAIRE (11) won a lower level Dieppe maiden however faces a stiffer task. Each way. JEAN RACINE (5) scored in a low class maiden and could be a place chance.
NAAB (3) disappointed last time at Le Mans but scored in a Deauville claimer over 1500m two starts ago. Six time winner holds most appeal in an open contest. PASTICHOP (7) finished sixth at Dax in latest though did score narrowly at Bordeaux over this trip previously. Feared racing from a good draw. TOSEN SHAUNA (6) was out of depth in both German G3 races however was a neck second in Hannover. Place chance. TIME TO FLY (9) will be fitter for comeback run and is an each way hope.
MIDNIGHT SHINE (2) placed fourth at Clairefontaine beaten 1L. Scored three runs ago in a decent Compiegne handicap. Represents top owner and trainer so could prove hard to beat. URWALD (5) delivered a close up fifth at Compiegne last start. Drops in class and racing for in form stable is feared the most. KARABABA (4) ran third on debut when supported and will be sharper. Place chance. JACKSON HOLE (3) finished G2 fourth in native Germany and is each way value.
GLORY DAYS (7) came with a late run to finish 3L eighth at Compiegne over a longer trip. Previously ran fourth at Nantes and a drop in trip will suit running style. Every chance. CHECKPOINT CHARLIE (2) was below par when 3L sixth at Compiegne in latest though was a Chantilly runner up two outings ago. Another to consider. VASY SAKHEE (10) won a lesser race and could be an each way chance. MAKTAVA (5) faces tougher company in hat-trick bid. Place. GODERVILLE (4) fourth last start and holds place claims.
RAJASTARE (3) finished third beaten 2L in a similar Longchamp contest at this distance. Narrowly defeated at Chantilly two outings ago and holds most appeal in an open contest. LOVELY MISS (2) won at this level in Chantilly over 1600m. Strong finisher so the increased trip could suit. Poses the main threat. SILVER PLACIS (6) produced a Longchamp second in latest so rates an each way hope. AMERICAN DAISY (12) ran fifth last time and will have more to do but could place.
SVEA (7) won a similar contest at Longchamp over this distance. Mixed form in the past but did score last year. Stable maintains a good record and is every chance in an open handicap. ALWAYS SOMEWHERE (12) finished a well held third at Deauville 1900m. Did record an AW win in a similar standard previously and rates a contender. QUEEN LIBERTY (6) is inconsistent. Placed fourth at Toulouse in latest and holds each way claims. HOLBOX (13) if fit enough could gain a placing though has not raced for over ten months. WINMAN IN GREY (8) could prove a place chance if improving.
SISSI DOLOISE (4) was narrowly defeated at Dieppe over 2400m. Previously second Deauville and will be aided by leading jockey. Holds most appeal. MARANO (2) returned from a seven month break with a respectable fourth place. Fitter now and poses a threat. SPEED (1) scored over 2400m while also a runner up previously. Could be in the mix. EVER ONE (11) has been spelled for five months and may place if fit.
