JACK MILNER – SATURDAY was a “feel good’’ day at Turffontein. It was an occasion that allowed 16 charities take a total of R550,000 to their respective organisations, saw history made with the first group of races under lights at the track, gave racegoers the opportunity to view a number of future stars in action – and saw the regeneration of one of the good guys of racing: Geoff Woodruff.
Imperial Gesture is a worthy favourite.
JACK MILNER – AT the end of January Seattle Ice was all the rage to win a Graduation Plate over 1450m on the Turffontein inside track.
Breeders' Cup: Non-stop excitement!
BREEDERS’ Cup, the World Championships of horseracing, takes place at Santa Anita Park in Los Angeles (USA) this Friday and Saturday and TAB customers will be able to bet into the huge USA tote pools on both days.

JACK MILNER – TUESDAY’S meeting at the Vaal is a topsy-turvy affair for punters because although it is advertised to take place on the sand, it will, in fact, be run on the outside turf track.
Queens Bay (Corne Orffer) strides clear in Yellowwood Handicap.
JACK MILNER – Yellowwood Handicap winner Queen’s Bay will follow the path taken by Michael Azzie’s previous star mare, Stratos. The Fort Wood filly coasted to a 3.50-length victory in the R165,000 Grade 3 race over 1800m at Turffontein on Saturday.

JACK MILNER – The true affect of the new Pick 6 policy will be highlighted at Turffontein tomorrow when the pool will start with more than R1.7-million in the pot. With two carryovers – from Greyville last Friday night and Turffontein on Tuesday – giving it a boost, the pool is expected to reach around R6-million.
JACK MILNER – IN theory Quality Alone should have little chance of winning Race 7 at the Vaal on Thursday, a Graduation Plate for fillies and mares over 1600m on the turf.
Meet At Malamala drew wide.
THE draws could turn out to be the great leveller when the R600,000 Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile (G2) is run at Turffontein on Saturday 21 November. The final field for this unique race over 1600m was announced Wednesday.
